Taste additive for distillates - Latgalian cognac 35g for 3L
Recipe:
1) Pour oak cubes from a separate bag in hot water in a separate container for 1 hour. Drain the cooled water.
2) Refill the oak segments with hot water for another 2 hours.
3) Pour all the ingredients, including prepared oak cubes, into a jar and pour 3 liters of quality moonshine with a strength of 45%.
4) Make the syrup at the rate of 75 g of sugar (3 tbsp.) In 150 ml of water and add to the tincture. Mix well and close the jar tightly.
5) Insist in a dark, warm place for at least 14 days, but not more than 1 month. The tincture should acquire a bright aroma and an amber, cognac hue.
6) After, filter the tincture through several layers of gauze or a cotton filter.
7) Pour the tincture into bottles and tightly cork. Allow the product to “rest” for at least 1 month in a dark place.
