Set of spices for Becherovka-style liqueur (for 3 liters)
Becherovka is an excellent Czech liqueur that contains many useful substances. Previously used as a healing elixir.
With this set of spices, anyone can make this aromatic liqueur at home.
Will be necessary:
- 2.4 liters of alcohol with a strength of 50-55%
- this spice set
- sugar 250-300 g
- water 750 ml
Preparation:
1) Put all the spices in a container and add alcohol. Close tightly and place in a dark, warm place (perhaps near a radiator for faster extraction).
2) Keep the drink for a week, shaking it periodically.
3) After 7 days, the infusion is filtered through a fine sieve or several layers of cheesecloth. Before filtering, it is better to taste the infusion - if the smell and taste seem weak, then keep it for a few more days.
4) Prepare the syrup: dilute 300 g of sugar with 450 ml of water and put on fire. Stir continuously until the sugar is completely dissolved. Do not boil. Remove, cool to room temperature, skim off foam if still present, and add to infusion.
5) Then pour another 300 ml of water into the pot in which the syrup was boiled, rinse and also add to the infusion.
6) You should have about 3 liters of product in total. Instead of sugar, you can use fructose, considering that it is 1.7 times sweeter than sucrose (that is, regular sugar).
7) After mixing the infusion and syrup, homemade Becherovka can be considered ready.
