Potassium saltpeter, a basic additive for preserving all types of meat.
Potassium nitrate (KNO₃) – a colorless, crystalline salt (E 252) used to preserve meat by traditional methods. Potassium saltpeter is one of the most important additives for preserving meat, which guarantees not only the extension of the shelf life, but also the preservation of the pink color of the meat.
A 20g package is enough for more than 6kg of meat - use 3g of saltpeter for every 1kg of meat.
Composition: potassium nitrate, anti-caking agent: magnesium hydroxycarbonate.
