Raschig rings, 1kg, copper (copper class M0) 15x15mm
Copper Raschig rings are the ideal solution for the production of delicious distillates with their maximum purification.
Invented by the German chemist Fritz Raschig, Raschig rings are used to purify products from hydrogen sulfide, making the drink softer and without an unpleasant odor.
Copper, compared to stainless steel, is more chemically active.
Its ions can effectively bind sulfur compounds, which not only have an unpleasant odor themselves, but also can react with fusel alcohols during distillation, forming mercaptans - organic compounds with a strong, putrid odor, which is felt even in small quantities.
Thus, the use of copper rings improves the organoleptic properties of the drink.
Material: M0 Copper (99.95 purity)
Ring Length: 15 mm
Ring Diameter: 15 mm
Wall Thickness: 1 mm
Calculating the required quantity:
2 inches x 10 cm length: 200 grams of rings
1.5 inches x 10 cm length: 150 grams of rings
Made by hand using a pipe cutter - no grinders or saws are used.
Approximately 4 meters of copper tube are used to make 1 kg of rings.
Approximately 330 cuts are required to cut 1 kg of rings.
