Activated coconut carbon 1kg (1.7L), granulation 0.55-2.4mm
Activated coconut carbon - 1 kg, per 60 liters, granulation 0.55 - 2.4 mm, adsorption activity > 60%, for regulating and purifying the taste and smell of water and alcoholic beverages.
Due to the iodine number (> 900 mg/g) and granulation (0.55 - 2.4 mm), this carbon has a large pore volume, which means a high adsorption capacity for contaminants that affect the color, taste and smell of the liquid.
Indispensable in distillation - activated coconut charcoal is specially selected and heat-treated coconut shell with water vapor, which will neutralize and harmonize the taste and smell of distillates.
High quality - durable porous structure, obtained as a result of special heat treatment of coconut shells and water steam, gives better results than using charcoal.
For distillation and not only - activated carbon is good not only for distillation, but also as an additive in horticulture, for example, decorating a forest in a jar as a filter layer.
Low ash content - when using coal, ash is not "washed out" from it, which has a positive effect on the cleaning liquid, which acquires a mild taste.
Economical packaging - one 1.7 liter (1000 g) package is enough for 60 liters of liquid.
Net weight: 1 kg
Granulation: 0.55 - 2.4 mm
Iodine number >900 mg/g
Ash content <3%
For 60 liters of alcohol
Mild taste, no yeast aroma
Method of use:
1) Place the charcoal in a strainer, fill it with hot water from the kettle, then place the charcoal with the strainer under running tap water (about 20°C) and rinse the charcoal for about 3 minutes by inverting it on the strainer until the water flowing through it becomes clear
2) Then let the remaining water drain from the coals
3) After the charcoal is ready for use
The principle of using activated carbon is similar to that used in conventional water filters.
The flow time of 1 liter of liquid through the carbon layer should be at least 1 hour (the efficiency of absorption of unwanted substances depends on the contact time of the liquid with the adsorbent).
The efficiency of coal also depends on the temperature of the liquid. Elevated temperature does not promote adsorption - the optimal temperature for the adsorption process is 10°C.
For the most effective filtration, we recommend using Distillation filter with activated carbon filling with cistern 10L or Premium filter column and coconut charcoal (460g)
